Went dinner in a new place (not a new restaurant, but new to us) in soho - A normal night BUT have a lesson - DON'T 100% TRUST THE FOOD GUIDE WEBSITE. Even you got the address and name, call the place before you arrived.
去了一個在Soho的新地方(不是新的餐廳,只是我們沒去過) - 普通的晚上但卻上了一課 - 就是不要100%相信網上的飲食指南網頁。就算找到地址和店名,也是打電話去才決定要去。
The first restaurant we have agreed to go(bewteeen Email), 'Samba' was still exist on internet, when I try to make a reservation, no one pick up the call, and I found out it was closed. Then I try to book our 2nd choice, "La Kasbah" for 6 person, the address on internet wrote '17 hollywood road ..." because everyone want to go some place new and I don't know where is this exactly, just try to make sure the place so I went there earier to see where's the restaruant before picking up everyone and walk down together. I couldn't find the place by the exactly address, so I called the restaurant again asking for the address, they were actually at the other side of soho, in Arbuthnot Road! Because its already the time to meet up my friends so I went back to pick them up, then we just having a little trouble before get there - next time no matter who are early who are late, if you all are going to some place new, better wait until everyone there before going. And yes if it is a new place better ask for the address when you make reservation ...
我們本來在E-mail討論到要去的首選餐廳,'Samba"還在網上,但當我打電話預約時沒有人接聽,後來我發現那地方已結業了。之後我再打到次選"La Kasbah"做6人的預約,網上的地址是'荷里活道17號', ... 大家都想去新地方,我又不太肯定這餐廳位置,所以我在到大家約定的地方前早一些到達去看看,然後可以一起走下去....在同一地址找不到這地方,所以我打電話問正確地址。那餐廳其實是在Soho的另一面,在Arbuthno Road!!時間到了,所以我回去接朋友的地方,然後經過些少麻煩才到逹...下一次誰來早了來遅了也好,如果大家是要到新地方,最好等每一個人都在才一塊兒走。對了,如果沒到過的地方最好在預約時也問問地址....
